Joshua is Managing Principal of WestRidge Realty Advisors, an entrepreneurial real estate investment firm representing in excess of $1 billion of institutional capital. Prior to forming WestRidge in 2005, he was Chief Investment Officer for AmCap Incorporated, a private real estate firm with retail and office properties nationwide. There he built a portfolio in excess of 6 million square feet.
Joshua has recently: acquired or sold in excess of $400MM of real estate, negotiated and structured a $500MM venture with a major state retirement system, and closed over $350MM in debt financing (no mortgage broker involvement). He previously marketed in-house expertise to other private and institutional owners and built a fee management portfolio totaling more than 4 million square feet. Joshua started his real estate career in leasing and asset management, and has leased in excess of 2.5MM square feet of space to national and regional tenants.
An alumnus of Harvard, Joshua completed the University’s Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate. In addition, he holds an MBA from the University of Denver and did his undergraduate work with a concentration in Philosophy at the University of Michigan. He is active in numerous professional organizations, including the ULI (Council Vice-Chair), ICSC (CLS designation) and REFA. Additionally, Joshua sits on the Alumni Steering Committee for Harvard University’s Real Estate Academic Initiative; is a member of the Alumni Advisory Council for the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University and for the AMD Program in Real Estate within the Graduate School of Design; and speaks regularly at industry events. He and his wife Abigail have 3 children, Benjamin, Reid and Ella.
