John Anderson

John Anderson, Principal of JH Anderson Holdings, Inc., a real estate development company, Mr. Anderson has been a developer, owner, and manager of hotel and resort projects (including residential, golf, spa and marina) since he left as Vice President and Eastern Regional Manager of Chemical Bank's real estate subsidiary (now J.P. Morgan Chase). Anderson's work includes a variety of sectors, geographic locations and business climates that required finding creative solutions to complex situations involving under-performing assets (such as Hyatt Regency Pier 66, Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, Sonoma, California) and/or anticipating new investment themes such as the demand for greenfield resort and spa development mandating joint ventures, ground leases and long-term management contracts. In addition to real estate development, Anderson companies have provided development consulting, asset management and arbitration support services to publicly traded companies and private owners such as Grupo Huarte, Madrid, Spain; Primwest, Geneva, Switzerland; Host Marriott, Washington DC and Rockresorts/Xerox Credit, Stamford, Connecticut. Anderson is a member of the Urban Land Institute where he is a Governor of the ULI Foundation and a frequent participant in the ULI's Advisory Service Panels. He is on the Advisory Board at the College of Landscape Architecture at the University of Florida and has been a guest lecturer at several forums including the Harvard School of Design.
