Jeremiah W. O’Connor, Jr.

Jerry O’Connor has been engaged in real estate investment and development for forty years. For the first sixteen he was associated with Lazard Freres & Co. and for the past twenty-four he has managed his own company. With Lazard’s sponsorship he helped found CPI, a private REIT, which became a large owner of high quality mall and office buildings. The O’Connor Group, founded in 1983, continued in the mall development and management business. It also owned a fee based investment management business and an opportunistic fund business which was a joint venture with JP Morgan. In the late 1990s, O’Connor sold its money management and mall businesses to focus solely on principal investing. O’Connor is now a family owned business and acts as the general partner for a series of real estate funds with gross holdings of approximately $4.5 billion and a net equity of $1.5 billion. The Company maintains offices in New York, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Luxembourg and Vienna. Mr. O’Connor is a graduate of Holy Cross College (1963) the Harvard Business School (1967) and served as a Lieutenant (J.G.) in the U.S. Navy. He served for many years as the chair of the Holy Cross endowment and is actively engaged in a variety of philanthropies including The Papal Foundation, The Gregorian Foundation, The Archdiocese of New York and numerous schools and hospitals
