G. David Bednar

G. David Bednar has been a commercial real estate investor and banker throughout his professional career. He is currently Executive Director of JPMorgan Real Estate Partners, a $3.0 Bn opportunistic proprietary commercial real estate lending and investing platform at JPMorgan based in New York. Prior to JPMorgan Mr. Bednar was a senior principal with the Global Commercial Real Estate Investing Group at UBS AG/Dillon Read Capital Management (UBS/DRCM) in New York. Before UBS/DRCM Mr. Bednar worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York in the Special Situations Group, the firm’s internal proprietary multistrategy hedge fund, specializing in real estate structured finance and distressed investing. Prior to Goldman, Sachs Mr. Bednar worked at Morgan Stanley Real Estate and the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds (MSREF) in New York , San Francisco and finally in Hong Kong where he was responsible for MSREF in non-Japan Asia. As a principal, Mr. Bednar has committed capital in senior fixed and floating rate, bridge, subordinated and mezzanine debt. Mr. Bednar has purchased portfolios of both senior and subordinated debt. Mr. Bednar has completed preferred and common equity investments. Mr. Bednar has completed principal transactions in seven countries. Mr. Bednar graduated from Harvard Business School with an MBA and Harvard University with a BA. Mr. Bednar served for four years as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps.
